She provides a strong technique based in anatomy with an emphasis on training the whole instrument. Her background includes classical singing, and contemporary commercial music styles including research through athleticism and the lens of neurology. She firmly believes singing is a sport and every singer should train like an athlete. Her instruction is tailored to each individual who joins her studio. She helps her students develop a healthy belt and explore the best "mix" for them, and helps them to be expressive musical artists and performers in any style. Singers will learn about releasing or balancing tension properly, breath and vowel work in the Bel Canto tradition, resonance for contemporary and classical styles, basic voice pedagogy and work on transitions between registers, while developing strength and performing with confidence. In addition, they learn how to read music, be musical, and find repertoire that helps show them in their best light.
Kimberly completed the Z-Health Essentials Course in 2018 and is certified to assist with drills and mobility that impacts vocal production at the speed of the nervous system. She is working on a NASM personal trainer certificate and plans to continue her work in Z-Health Fitness. She works with Missy Bunch, Z-Health Master Trainer and creator of Death of the Desk and Andrew Byrne of The Singing Athlete TM in based in New York City.
